It makes our school great!

volunteer.jpgAt our school, we have so many opportunities to serve each other and the community. We love to have people volunteer at the library. There are both slots for student and adult volunteers. If you're interested, please let us know.

Student Volunteers
Students can spend time working at the library. Our volunteers typically help students check out books, re-shelve and straighten, and if they are willing, can help students locate books and do research. Often our volunteers work on craft projects for the library and can learn what it's like to work in such a great place. Most volunteer opportunities are before and after school with our "Adopt a Shelf" program, but students who are accepted as aides may spend a class period here. All students wanting to volunteer must fill out the appropriate forms.

Adult Volunteers
We love to have our parents and community members help in the library as well. All applications must be submitted to the office, and further contact will be made at that time. All adult volunteers must be willing to go through fingerprinting and background checks. Adult volunteers may be asked to help with research, tutoring, library duties, or events. These rules apply primarily to regular volunteers, and not event volunteers. All adult volunteers need to fill out the forms to start the screening process.

Event Volunteers
At the library, we host many community events. If you'd like to be a part of one of these celebrations, please join us! Contact the PTSA, the appropriate teachers, or just start by sending us an email. Also, we would like you to fill out the adult volunteer form so we know who you are and how to contact you.

Thank you, and feel free to contact the library for more information!
